Cissbury Ring

Iron age hill-fort (the second largest in the country) and Neolithic flint-mines, offers great walking opportunities and excellent views. (More details from the Worthing Museum).

For a more challenging walk, but more rewarding views, visit Chanctonbury Ring, near Washington.

English Martyrs Catholic Church

Goring Way, Goring - magnificent one-third replica of the famous Sistine Chapel ceiling, a very impressive sight. Closed Mondays. Viewing normally between 10am - 4pm but not during services. Please call to check service times. Contact: 01903 506890 or 242624.

High Salvington Mill

Furze Road, High Salvington - fully restored Black post mill, open first and third Sunday each month (2.30 - 5.00pm), and for special events Contact: Mr Potts 01903 260218 Lancing College Chapel, Lancing -one of our local landmarks, a magnificent gothic style chapel started in the 1860's.
Open Mon - Sat 10am - 4pm, Sun and Bank Holidays noon - 4pm. Guides are available (please call to check times). Contact: the Verger 01273 452213.

Lido, Marine Parade

Family entertainment, games, refreshments and summer weekend concerts. Open 11am - 5pm. Summer - daily, winter - weekends only. Contact: 01903 213486

Worthing Museum and Art Gallery

Chapel Road - Welcoming and lively museum whose outstanding displays include costume, archaeology, local history and geology. Varied programme of art, craft and sculpture exhibitions - including the museum's own sculpture garden. Open 10am - 5pm (closed Sundays). Contact: 01903 239999 (204229 on Sats).

Shoreham Airport

Airport history going back to 1911 with splendid Art Deco terminal. The airport is still operating and you can watch the activity, as well as explore the Visitor centre or go on a guided tour to get the full history. Restaurant on site. Call for Guided tour times. Contact: D Dunstall 01273 441061 Take time to also visit the nearby D-Day Museum of memorabilia.
